Problem- You and your friend are hiking in the Ozark Mountains and have lost your way. Darkness is approaching and you are going to need light to see your way back to the trail. Your backpack is filled with a variety of objects. You will sit down and look through your supplies and determine what things may help you find your way back to the trail.

Vocabulary-
Brainstorm- What can you use from the backpack and what things might you try and create.
Design- Select several ideas that you have and plan your strategy on paper. Discuss these ideas with your partner and choose one that you will use as your first attempt.
Create- Using the items you have selected, build your prototype.
Evaluate- When you are finished with your first attempt,
Refine- Change your design on paper and try it again, make sure you are recording all of the designs you are attempting. Identify what ones were successful and which ones were not successful.
